Its different this time.

It was raining then. After the scorching heat of May, the sound of the rain drops was like music to my ears. But there was a lot of noise too. With ripe mangoes falling off from the branches, the rush among the street kids to grab them had already started. The Das household was also rejoicing the brief shower. Mother was as usual very concerned about the clothes that were getting wet in the rain and papa, oblivious to all the noise was enjoying in the cool breeze with a cup of hot chai. Priyanka, like a good daughter as she always is, was busy in helping the rest of family with more tea. Only one person was missing from the entire scene. Even the rain was wondering where she was. Why wasn’t she fussing over the mud and the humidity today?? Why was she not insisting on a hot plate of pakodas today?
O poor rain, it had no idea that things had changed and she had quietly grown up. Of course, she had since long given up setting paper boats on sail, but it was only now that she had started making castles of dreams and hopes. With Ayaan Khan’s magical music playing in the background, she was lost in some remote unknown and unseen kingdom. And having discovered this new kingdom, she had already fallen for the knight of the kingdom. And it was as if every drop of rain was asking her about this knight who had also started ruling over her heart. There were sweet questions coming from all directions...and she was already blushing like that newly married bride who does the same when asked about the details of her first nuptial night. One crazy woman she was....
But whatever the case may be, today she was happy. She could not have asked life for anything more. All these years when she was growing up from a girl to a woman; she had just one special wish. She had always wanted to fall in love. And today, finally her wish was granted. She was madly and irrevocably in love with the best man who could have walked on this planet. She was one special woman, for she was one of those very few human beings who had known and understood what it meant to be in love and to be loved.
Like every other woman, she had read, heard and wondered a lot about this particular emotion. But it was only when she actually met this man, did she really find out the real meaning of it. They say, a man is truly a man when he wins the love of a good woman, earns her respect, and keeps her trust. Until one can do that one is not a man. But what has to be understood here is that being loved, respected and trusted by a good man is best thing that can happen to any woman. She was glad that she was the chosen one. She had found exactly what she was looking for. It was as if that man was a character that had walked out of the numerous lovestories she had read....completely flawless and perfect in all respect.
Lost in solitude, she badly missed her beloved.  Like yaksha, she also asked the cloud to be her messenger and let her man know that she loved him more than anyone else in the world and would always continue to do so.
“Blended of mists and light, winds and water
Can a mere cloud bear messages
that only the living with keen senses
and intelligence can convey?
Unmindful of this the yaksha entreated it,
overwhelmed by unreasoning eagerness;
indeed, the love-sick, their minds clouded,
confuse the sentient with the insentient.”
